Intelligent Design Allows for Effortless One-handed Pan, Tilt and Zoom Control, With Easy Camera Discovery Functionality
TORRANCE, CA – Marshall Electronics will be debuting its new VS-PTC-IP PTZ Camera Controller at the 2019 InfoComm Show (Booth 3725). Used for live event production and content creation in houses of worship, education, pro AV, broadcast and other versatile PTZ applications, the VS-PTC-IP controller is designed to operate seamlessly across multiple camera protocols on a single network.
The controller offers detailed operation – through a high-quality PTZ joystick, professional zoom rocker and individual fine-tune adjustment knobs for iris, white balance, exposure, red/blue, shutter speed, focus, pan/tilt speed and zoom speed. An on-board Tally indicator includes contact, tally and on-air tally modes for a fast and easy workflow, while a multi-color button illumination indicator directs operation to specific functions.
“We are excited to introduce the VS-PTC-IP at InfoComm 2019,” says Tod Musgrave, director of cameras at Marshall. “The controller’s easy IP camera discovery function automatically searches for all available IP cameras on a network, and easily assigns IP addresses to each. It can also store up to six selectable ASSIGN function keys, 256 camera presets with memory of image parameters and eight transition patterns/cruises to recall camera moves. Dedicated knobs and control buttons simplify direct access to frequently used functions without needing to use on-camera menus.”
The VS-PTC-IP offers cross-protocol mix-control on one easy-to-use controller and operates in RS232/RS422/RS485 and IP, as well as ONVIF and VISCA-over-IP. The controller can set up seven cameras via RS232, 14 cameras via RS422 and 255 cameras via IP – all selectable through a single unit.
The Marshall VS-PTC-IP is fully compatible with most PTZ cameras on the market, including all Marshall PTZ and Sony BRC/SRG series cameras.
